GPS Survey and 3D Modeling Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GPS Survey and 3D Modeling Technician to join our team.
Job Overview:
This position will split time between field operations and office work, providing the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with GPS automated machine guidance systems, as well as working with Trimble Business Center software to support the development and management of 3D surface models, quantity takeoffs, and project data. The successful candidate will collaborate with project crews and staff to ensure smooth communication and data exchange, ensuring project success and adherence to technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and verify 3D surface models and quantity takeoffs using Trimble Business Center software for bidding, job costing, and billing.
- Integrate project information into GPS rovers and machine control equipment, ensuring that all GPS systems are operating within the required tolerances.
- Support troubleshooting and provide guidance on upgrading GPS equipment for both field and office applications.
- Familiarize yourself with drone technology and assist in performing aerial surveys and takeoffs.
- Travel locally and throughout Wisconsin to support field operations, ensuring that data collection and system integration are executed accurately in the field.
- Build strong working relationships with project crews and staff to ensure consistent communication and efficient data exchange on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with GPS survey systems, machine control equipment, and 3D modeling software, particularly Trimble Business Center, is highly preferred.
- Experience in construction, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Position Overview:
The Foreman will be responsible for coordinating all construction activities at the project site, including managing manpower, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. This individual will work closely with project management to ensure the successful execution of projects on time and within budget, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in pre-construction planning, including developing and implementing project procedures, construction documents, detailed work schedules, job budgets, and more.
- Study project specifications to plan construction procedures, determining starting and completion times, staffing requirements, and other essential logistics for each phase of construction.
- Oversee procurement of tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring timely deliveries that conform to work schedules.
- Supervise foremen/leadmen, maintaining order, safety, and cleanliness on the job site, including conducting weekly toolbox talks.
- Attend and participate in weekly job safety and progress meetings, with occasional responsibility for leading these meetings.
- Work with supervisory personnel and subcontractors to plan and execute work procedures, interpret specifications, and coordinate various phases of construction to prevent delays.
- Maintain direct communication with owners, clients, and architects to address any project-related concerns.
- Assist the Project Manager in handling changes on the job site, such as trade changes, RFIs, and adjustments to construction documents.
- Address workforce complaints and grievances through effective communication and conflict resolution with supervisory personnel and labor representatives.
- Work with engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and enhance construction methods.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to construction schedules.
- Control labor and equipment costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Prepare or review progress reports, materials used, and costs, making adjustments to work schedules as needed.
- Complete accurate documentation, including daily work logs, time and material tickets, and time cards.
- Conduct post-construction reviews to evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sewer and/or excavation construction, with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to managing field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Experience with project management and coordination, including budgeting, scheduling, and working with subcontractors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Must either be a Union member or willing to join the Union upon hire.
